Happy Finals Season!
‘Tis the season to be studying! It’s that time of year again, where we have to bring out the books and start to study. Yes, right before the holidays, too, or during depending on what you celebrate. What a great way to get into the holiday spirit. Finals are set up to be taken from December 19th - 21st. Just a few days before Christmas day. I for one am not so jolly about it.
I, like many other students, don’t like the fact that we are put to study right before break. It takes away from the holidays. Although we have a spirit week, to keep us in good spirits, it still doesn’t sit well. It doesn’t make up for the fact that we are stressing for about two weeks straight. The purpose of the holidays is to focus on family and celebrate. How are we supposed to do that when we have to keep our noses in textbooks and study guides?
Not only are students not happy with this but there are teachers who don’t like the idea either. Now it can’t be said that we, the students, are being bratty about it, when there are also adults who think the same way. We’d just rather prefer to keep spirits high by relaxing and spending time with loved ones, instead of having to worry about passing seven finals, and getting high test scores.
It’s difficult having to study so hard and be expected to have a jolly attitude. As for now that’s the way it has to be. So just keep your head high, and good luck on those finals. Have a happy finals season! Well, at least try.
