Hit the Mat!

As our Aztec wrestlers finish their season, they now enter into CIF! With their first CIF this past weekend, the Aztecs are on a roll with nothing but wins. Senior Ivan O’Neal is having a great season with a record of 29-6 and Elizabeth Wright is also having a great season with a record of 27-7.

The season for our wrestlers was one for remembrance. Many of our athletes had a great season, including many of our seniors. During senior night, we saw great performances from Ivan O’Neal, Dawson Chinn, and Elizabeth Wright. Of course we can’t forget about our underclassmen and the achievements they’ve made as well.

As our Aztecs take this ride of chasing the ring, we are hopeful for success in their future. Once past the CIF rounds, we hope to see some in Regionals or even State! It’s through the hard work and persistence on and off the mat each day that gets our boys and girls ready for whomever they face the next time on the mat.
