AVID College Trip

March 7-9, AVID students, AVID Coordinator, Link Crew Leader, and a past AVID student headed off on a Charter bus. The first of seven colleges that were visited was UC Merced, followed by CSU Sacramento. On the second day, AVID members toured UC Davis, St. Mary’s, and San Francisco State University. The third day was mostly driving, with San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz thrown in between.

This trip doesn’t get enough recognition on how beneficial it is for students in high school, whether it be physical, or just helping to decipher a specific college to attend two years after.

The trip left most who attended with a smile on their face to go home with and plenty have a new idea of what University they’ll attempt to sign up for.
