Trump and Kim

In the upcoming meeting between the leader or North Korea, Kim Jong Un, and the President of the United States, Donald Trump, what should we expect? We should first understand that in the meeting, the two leaders are planning to talk about the “demilitarization of the Korean peninsula”. What this means is that North Korea, which we have been hostile towards since the Korean War, may finally let the United States into the country in a diplomatic, non-hostile attempt at relieving the tensions.

Since the first threat of nuclear war between the States and Korea, tensions have only gotten worse. Finally, however, we see a sliver of hope for the relationship between the two nations. This all began when South Korea invited North Korea to attend and participate in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

We should all hope that President Trump and Kim Jong Un have a civil talk that leads to reduced tension and possibly the resolution to this troublesome connection.
