Prom!

It was a beautiful night as we took a trip to Ancient Greece! This past weekend on Saturday, April 13, 2018, Barstow High School hosted their prom at Victoria Gardens. It was a busy day for most people indeed, but all the prepping and stressing was worth it. It was really neat to see all the kids come out looking as sharp as they did. Most would say that their day was long, and they’d be telling the truth! For our ladies, they had to wake up and hit all their hair and makeup appointments. If they already had someone close to them who could do it, then lucky them! Of course, after all that, you have to put your whole outfit together. For our gentlemen, I’d assume was a little more laid back. If anything, they had a last minute haircut appointment. After everyone was done getting ready it was picture time of course!

The venue for prom was definitely a beautiful sight. You step off the bus and as you’re walking you start seeing lights and beautiful table sets. There was food and light music waiting for the kids as they arrived. When all that fun jazz ended, it was time for the real fun to begin! The night seemed like it went by so fast when lost in the fun with your friends. From the photo booth to the dance floor itself, it was a great night. Seniors Gabriel Avilez and Jessica Torres were crowned this year’s prom king and queen. It was a long night for most, because the buses were definitely quiet as the kids headed home. 2018, thank you for such a great night. Prom season is over!
