Procrastination

This isn’t another “Senioritis” article but I do have a few things to say about end of the year procrastination. Every year, no matter what grade level, you or your friends are bound to start slacking. Whether it’s not showing up for practice, not studying for that final quiz, homework, or attendance, you are procrastinating. Freshman year counts, Sophomore year counts, and Junior year counts also, not just Senior year. You should put your all into every year and get the grades you would be proud of. Meet every deadline you possibly can and if you don’t, don’t make it into a habit to not. That’ll only make things worse, especially Senior year. Senior year is the most stressful and expensive, and if you procrastinate during it, I wish you luck. Many, many teens fall under stress at the end of the year, however that should influence you on how you react in the classroom. If your grades aren’t where you want them, sign up for summer school. Don’t slack on signing up and end up not retaking the classes you need to take. Your time is not something you can waste, so don’t let procrastination be the cause of your wasted time. Remember to do everything you need to do, buy a planner and stay organized. Graduation is going to hit every single high schooler so hard and before you know it, you’ll be an independent adult and procrastinating in the real world can affect your success. So you had better practice now.
