Barstow Learns From the Pros
The Barstow High School culinary program took a trip to Benihana Anaheim! The trip was on opportunity for the students to see people cook right in front of them and what life is like as a chef. The most interesting part wasn’t even the cooking, it was how the chef interacted with the students that made it special. The chef was more than a cook, he was an entertainer. The students were all amazed by his talents. He cooked fried rice, chicken, shrimp and steak with other sides in the time span about maybe 15 minutes! The food was more than amazing and it was a great experience. We got hands on experience of a professional cook. Hats off to our chefs who not only cook great food but performed very well in a crowd of high school students. We also got to visit the Victoria Gardens mall. The mall was both an inside and outside mall and there were stores everywhere. The view was amazing and there were literally stores everywhere so it was a different taste from what we have in Barstow.
