The Notorious R.B.G.
Among Supreme Court Justices, who is probably the most respected and most recognized? Believe it or not, it isn’t Brett Kavanaugh, alleged sex offender. Surprisingly enough, it isn’t even the Chief Justice, John Roberts.
What am I leading up to? There is only one person on the Supreme Court who is loved enough and categorized as a superhero among even young people; Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She’s even been nicknamed ‘The Notorious R.B.G.’ People across the country know those three initials, and consider her to be a true superhero.
Here is just a brief overview of her many glorifying movements and achievements; she was only the second female to ever be on the Supreme Court; she was the first female tenured professor at Columbia University; she graduated from Cornell University, first in her class, then went to Harvard Law School as 1 of only 8 females in a total of 500 students; she served in the U.S. Court of Appeals under President Jimmy Carter until President Bill Clinton appointed her to the U.S. Supreme Court; she emblematized the figure or symbol of women’s rights in the early 1970’s and on. Believe me when I say that that was quite a short list when compared to everything Ginsburg has attained so far in her life.
Those Women’s Rights I mentioned, are one of the main reasons that this marvelous woman is the main character in an upcoming movie “On The Basis of Sex”, starring Academy Award Winner Felicity Jones as Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The movie is to tell the true story of her struggles in enforcing equal right among men and women.
To date, Bader Ginsburg is the only Supreme Court Justice who medical experts check on daily. We just can’t stand the idea of allowing anything negative happen to our 85 year old real-life Wonder Woman.
So cross your fingers with me for Ruth Bader GInsburg’s case. She can’t afford any medical issues, and we can’t afford for her to have any either.
