Teenage Weight Problems

A few years ago there was a revival of fitness and healthy living. Nowadays, however, this is has taken a backseat to body positivity. I believe this is a step in the wrong direction because , according to the Center for Disease Control, the teenage obesity rate is roughly 33%. This has become a seemingly unpreventable problem which definitely can be.

To live and eat healthy does not require a lot of commitment. It only requires a little bit of self-control and setting small goals. Setting these small milestones will help you feel accomplished and on track. Eating healthy doesn’t necessarily to mean having a strict diet and not eating meat and yada yada. Having a healthy lifestyle could mean just drinking more water, eating less snacks, and exercising for a little bit almost everyday. Because teenagers are so busy many of them cannot or will not make a commitment to healthy living. This is why baby steps are important.

Another problem I see is teenagers worry too much about their. They worry so much that they do not enjoy the same food as their peers and are not eating enough. This is just as harmful and obesity. Malnutrition is a serious problem that a surprising number of tenagers have. If you are active, yes you can eat quite a bit to fuel your muscles, mind, and fat reserves. Some fat is necessary for living. It is not healthy to be skinny.

So for the teenagers of today: set small goals, find the balance between consuming too much and too little, and enjoy your youthful years.
