Student Spotlight: Junior Class President Audrey Dennison

Audrey Dennison is a devoted student at Barstow High School. Audrey has been class president three years in a row (Freshmen year, Sophomore year and Junior year). Not only is she Junior class president but she is also a band member, a golf player and is an honor roll student taking three AP classes. Audrey aspires to be an accountant when she grows up.

Interview:

Q: How did you join ASB and how long have you been an ASB memeber?

A: What made me decide to join ASB was getting that leadership opportunity and to be involved in the school. I have been in ASB since I was a freshmen. Q: Did you see yourself becoming an ASB member when you were younger?

A: I've wanted to do ASB since I was in Junior high.

Q: What are some good skills that you have learned in ASB?

A: The leadership experience and the ability to work with others. Q: What is the hardest part about being in ASB?

A: The hardest part is planning things, not everyone is going to like what we plan but we do our best.

Q: What is the most rewarding part about being in ASB:

A: The Best part is being able to do good things for my school. Not just by myself but with others.

Q: What are some misconceptions that people have about ASB and your role in ASB:

A: A lot of people think that we don't really do anything in ASB that we just do nothing. They think that we just play games and stuff but we actually do a lot of things that people don't see. We plan all the school activities, We fill out the honor roll assembly forms and we do a lot of things people don't see.

Q: Do you plan on running for Student body president?

A: I may not be able to do to scheduling issues but yes I do.

Q: When you become student body president what are some things that you want ASB to continue?

A: want to see ASB to continue to try to get more people involved and increase school spirit.

Q: What are some things that you want ASB to change?

A: I want to change people's views on ASB and I want to work on creating a stronger school spirit. Q: What kind of person do you think would make an ideal student body president An ideal ASB president ?

A: An ideal ASB president needs to be a person who is open minded, who is open to work with others and is passionate about what they do.
