The Performer
Prologue
There are two kinds of lies in this world,
The Beautiful Lies and the Hurtful lies.
Both of which hurt when they're hurled.
Part 1
The Beautiful Lie
This part will captivate
It will portray so much vehemence,
So much passion, tears will fall from your eyes
He´ll spout and spew and say
The hurt was not what he meant.
You will want to believe it,
And so you will
Even though you don’t.
But you love the act, and know you can't leave him.
For a while the good is good and all is still,
Because the beautiful lies have clouded your home.
There are two kinds of lies in this world,
The Beautiful Lies and the Hurtful lies.
Both of which hurt when they´re hurled.
Part 2
The Hurtful Lies
These are the ones that shed light
That open the door to healing
They’ll slowly diminish the amount of your tries
Causing an argument half way into the night
He’s saying the same things, but he lacks the feeling
Now you know
That you really are done
The pain is unbearable.
So as the curtains begin to close,
Your pain is no more and the tears are done,
You’ve already cried a barrelful.
Epilogue
There are two kinds of lies in this world,
The Beautiful Lies and the Hurtful lies.
Both of which hurt when they´re hurled.
You did it
You finally left.
Now what do you do?
The show is over, and you better get
You don’t feel as you’d thought, no longer bereft
Because now it’s your time to focus on you.
