Teacher Spotlight
Ms Regalado, a well known Spanish teacher at Barstow High School. Ms Regalado has been teaching for 16 years and currently teaches Spanish one and English language development. What made her want to teach? “ well I just grew up on it, my mom and dad were both teachers.” Ms. Regalado's favorite thing about teaching is seeing her former students come back and still know what she had taught them, her least favorite thing about teaching is when kids don't listen or pay attention. One common mistake that is made all the time is kids break the rules, especially her rules. Ms. Regalado's advice she would give to someone who would like to be a teacher is “learn to know your students in a way that works best for you.” The colleges ms Regalado attended was UC Irvine, Cal State Bakers Field, and Michigan State. All though Ms Regalado is a teacher she is also the cheer coach for barstow high. She would like to elevate school spirit and change school culture. Her favorite things about being cheer coach is learning new vocabulary and new moves. Ms Realado is an amazing teacher and cheer coach all though kids break the rules in her class she still likes to make teaching and coaching fun for everyone so everything goes by fast and everyone is engaging. If you would like to make her a visit go to room 44 and say hello.
