World News 9/11
On September 11, 2001, the most horrific event in history happened that caused thousands of deaths. The Twin Towers in New York were struck by planes in a terrorist attack on our nation. This attack hit the hearts of millions of people, many people who lost family members. Firefighters, Police officers, and volunteers spent restless nights helping to locate survivors and bring peace to the deceased. This was the worst tragedy in U.S. history and it started as just a regular morning for everyone, but later turned into complete chaos. The survivor's stories are a rude awakening that anything can happen at any second and that everything is based on pure luck. In one story there was a man who wore a red bandana, he died but in that fight or flight moment, he also saves the lives of over a dozen people. His family didn't find out about his status until two weeks later, but six months later when a book was published about the event that his family finally discovered that he risked his life to save all those people.
Recently on September 11, 2019, in Kabul, Afghanistan a rocket hit the United States Embassy with prior car bombs that killed 35 civilians, injured 19 civilians, and killed 2 American Soldiers. Tabalin struck Kabul right after midnight struck the anniversary of 9/11 with no reported injuries. The significance of this is major while Trump was honoring the anniversary of 9/11 he wanted to bring the conflict with the Middle Eastern to an end but suddenly canceled all the peace talks. Will there ever be peace between the United States and Middle Eastern? Or will there be more endless suffering of war and death?
