Life at Grand Canyon University
Grand Canyon University was founded in Prescott, Arizona, which was its first campus. That campus only had 16 faculty members and 100 students. It then relocated in Phoenix, Arizona in 1951. It’s a non profit, private christian university. GCU is the largest christian university in the world with 70,000 students online and 20,000 students on campus in 2018. In the 2019-2020 school year, there are more than 22,000 students attending GCU. The school mascot is Thunder the Antelope.
The acceptance rate for GCU is 57% and the graduation rate is 35.8%. The minimum GPA requirement to get into the university is 3.0. Tuition fee is $16,500 for in-state and out-of-state students.
