Pillowcase Rapist
Robert Eugene Koehler was arrested last weekend in a cold case 1983 rape. Florida’s law enforcement believe he is involved in an ongoing string of assaults in South Florida in the 1980’s. If he is confirmed to be involved in such a crime, It will have a huge break in a crime spree that terrorized the area years ago. After new Dna analysis, it allegedly tied Robert to a rape that happened in 1983. He has been charged for this only. Robert currently has two felony counts of sexual armed battery. Authorities also believe that Robert is the “Pillowcase Rapist,” who attacked more than 40 women from the time span of 1980 to 1986. The “Pillowcase Rapist” attacked women townhouses or apartments and would use a pillowcase to hide his identity. They can’t confirm that Robert Eugene Koehler is the Pillowcase Rapist but it is a possibility. “I am not guilty” Koehler said in court this past Tuesday. It isn’t clear is Robert has an attorney considering there was no attorney with him Tuesday. Robert Koehler is already on the Florida’s sex offender registry from an incident in 1991. Authorities are still uncertain that it was Robert’s DNA tied with the 1983 case but they would need an actual swab of Robert’s DNA from his body to confirm he was the rapist in the cold case 1983. For right now it is also uncertain that he was the “Pillowcase Rapist” but I am very much hoping some of his victims will get justice very soon.
