University of California, Los Angeles also known as UCLA, is located in Los Angeles, California. UCLA was founded on May 23, 1919 and is ranked number 20 nationally for top universities. Average annual in-state cost is $35,793 before aid and $14,171 after aid. All though tuition can be expensive, UCLA offers an array of housing and meal programs and also offers financial aid. “Forbes” even ranked UCLA as number 5 best value universities. 46% of the undergraduate students pay no tuition at all because of their many financial options and ways to pay off tuition. Such as Scholarships, Grants, Loans, and Part time jobs. Acceptance rate for UCLA however, is 14% and the graduation rate is 91%. UCLA is also known for their many different programs and departments to choose from. UCLA offers 109 academic departments and 125 majors. They even also have their programs in 40 different languages. Graduate school of education and Information studies founded in 1939. Even though they have a lot of academic programs, the programs are the best quality you can learn there. Law school is the youngest of the top law schools in the country. Also their Art program is ranked number 4 nationally as well. UCLA believes everyone deserves an education. That is why they offer an extension program. The UCLA extension program is for older adults or “life long learners” as they call them. UCLA’s extension program has over 100 certificate programs in over 20 fields. For such a big university, UCLA must have a lot of faculty members for their campus. Well they do. UCLA has over 4,300 faculty members. There are many ways to get admitted to this university. There is Undergraduate, Graduate, Extension, International, and Transfer admissions. Lastly, mostly every university has their own hospital on campus. Well so does UCLA, with 26 departments for their patients.
