“Faceapp’’ raises security concerns

                        By: Antonio Ili

A smartphone app created by a small company in Russia allows a user to age themselves by decades, because it’s user terms grant “full” access to personal photos and data. This has grown to be a big deal and has people wondering “ is this app safe to use at all?”. This sudden popularity of the app has also raised security concerns. The reason is that this particular app is outside of the U.S., the concern is that the company can access user photos without the users permission.

Despite the exoneration, security experts have mixed feelings about the app. They said it isn't likely the app is stealing entire camera rolls of photos from its users, but added FaceApp is not completely risk free. Faceapp gives security concerns and can go from full control of a user’s photos to the full control of a user’s identity. Be careful again as to where you put your information and how you use your information.
