Slice of Life

By: Isabella Rodriguez

As little kids we all talk about being a firefighter , a doctor , or teacher. Do we actually know what our dream job is, or what our occupation is going to be when we grow up ? Growing up I always wanted to be a professional dancer who went to Joffrey Ballet school in New York. Obviously that didn’t happen even though you can’t see through the screen right now, I am not dancing and nowhere near as flexible as I used to be when I was seven. Now, as I’ve been growing up I’ve gotten to the point where I decided I wanted to be a writer, even though I hate to read, it has always been something I’ve been good at it and loved doing. But, that was in seventh grade, I am now a sophomore in high school and I decided writing isn’t my thing, even though I still love to write. In addition to that , I’ve semi-decided I wanted to work in law enforcement or even I would like to work in criminology. With that Cal State San Marcos has an amazing program from criminology. But, Even though I would love to work in law enforcement or criminology, I am a sophomore who still hasn't even decided what she wants to for lunch today, so anything can change at any moment. Also known as a slice of life , a realistic representation or everyday experience in a movie, play, book , or life. So yeah, I would love to know what my career is going to be or what my life is going to make of me. Maybe I will even end up working at a gas station selling donuts and hotdogs, if I can at least get some money to pay for my Disneyland pass I am all good. Well, Signing off your future's best working criminologist or your future’s best donut and hot dog maker.
