By: Tre Gaskins
Hello BHS my name is Tre and this week i’m doing a student spotlight article on student-athlete Megan Myers. Megan is a sophomore here at Barstow High School, who also plays Volleyball. Megan has been living in barstow for 13 years but born in Fontana, California. She was raised here in Barstow. Megan attended; Hinkley and Henderson elementary school as well as The STEM Academy.
Coming into high school Megan wasn’t really into any sport specifically but since growing up and her loving to play the sport for fun Megan tried out for the volleyball Team. Before high school Even though she didn’t play sports Megan still did athletic things like riding horses and doing gymnastics. When she’s not in school or at practice Megan is usually hanging out with friends or doing homework.
Megan says she wants to attend CAL STATE FULLERTON UNIVERSITY when she Graduates and major in nursing, when asked what she wanted to be when she’s grown Megan said, “ I want to be an army nurse”.
Day by day Megan is following her plan to accomplish her goals and she checking off her list and determined to get it done.
