Teacher spotlight: Mr. Frederick

This is Mr.Frederick , who is a teacher here at Barstow High School.With that Mr.Frederick teaches math one and two , which he loves doing that. The reason Mr. Frederick is a good candidate for teacher spotlight is because he is an amazing teacher and loves what he is doing . He engages with the student and likes making his teaching fun and enjoyable . So, now let’s get to learn more about him . 

Question: How long have you been teaching and or teaching at bhs ? 

Frederick: I’ve been teaching for about 20 years now and this is my second year here at Barstow high.

Question: What college did you attend? 

Frederick : Cal State University San Bernardino 

Question: What made you want to teach? 

Frederick: I like to help the kids and hopefully they will learn more about math.

Question: What is your favorite and least favorite part about teaching ? 

Frederick: The look in students' eyes when they truly know what’s going on and what they are doing , and I don’t like when they are noisy and don’t listen . 

Question: What is your favorite thing about math ? 

Frederick: I just always found math easy. 

Question: What is one common mistake all students make ? 

Frederick: They are always in a big hurry, whether it’s to pack up and leave or doing their work . 

Question: What’s one piece of advice you would give to a student wants to be a teacher? 

Frederick: You have to have patience! 

Question: What's your experience with working with kids at this age level? 

Frederick: I personally like this age level because they are independent.

Question:What is your favorite food ? 

Frederick: I’m always down for a good steak. 

Question: What is your favorite genre of music? 

Frederick: Definitely country. 

Question: What is your favorite movie ? 

Frederick: 100% Top Gun 

Now that we got all those questions over, overall Mr.Frederick is an outstanding teacher who is very dedicated and cares about his students dearly. Also, Mr. Frederick has lots of school spirit.
